Treeskunk Productions was founded by Donald Preuss and Zack Fester as a means to vent their imaginative minds of the sick and twisted things that floated around inside their heads. Starting summer 2004, they began to plan a machinima series with the name Outpost: Blood Gulch that would use the Halo 2 reincarnation of the Blood Gulch map. They quickly gained support from other people as psychotic as themselves and slowly started to make the series, but they first needed a name for their new company to go along with the sexy new show. They thought long and hard for a good name but “Best Damn Machinima Company Ever” or “We Roxorz You All” didn’t quite cut it. All seemed lost until one of Don’s friends mistook a squirrel that was climbing up a tree for a skunk . Surprised, he exclaimed “I didn’t know Skunks climbed Trees!” Thus Treeskunk Productions was born, and the only comment from the creator of the name when told about his gift to society was: “Ha, now I can tell people I have succeeded in life. I have a production team named after a stupid thing I said. What do you have? My life is complete.”

Treeskunk Productions is currently working on finishing the first season of the Outpost: Isil machinima series and allowing Paul Shelley to vent his hatred of everything to the Internet.
